ISPA tools support countries in building coherent social protection systems, ensuring complementarity between initiatives, coordination across sectors, sufficient scale for addressing needs as well as strengthening effective and efficient service delivery systems.

ISPA provides a platform for collaboration across agencies to help craft a common vision for SP systems and ensure a consistent, inter-agency approach to system development.

ISPA tools have been developed by the world’s leading social protection specialists from more than 20 international organizations and development partners, with strong partnership from Governments. The tools benefit from the unique expertise and know-how of the different agencies in order to serve the needs of the countries they are assisting. Each tool has gone through a rigorous development and approval process for this purpose.

It is expected that the ISPA tools will be applied across countries, facilitating dialogue and ensuring the development of countries’ SP systems as well as international practices that will help countries to learn from each other.
